The Ecovila da mata is a treasure to be found, a lost paradise near the major Brazilian capitals, and with easy access for those arriving from Europe. A flight from Lisbon to Porto Seguro, where is located the nearest airport to the Ecovila, takes eight hours and a half. From Salvador its fifty minutes and from Belo Horizonte it´s an hour and thirty five minutes. From Rio de Janeiro it takes a hour and a half, and from São Paulo, it takes an hour and forty five minutes.

The Ecovila da Mata region its a peninsula between the rivers joão de tiba e jequetinhonha and has some desert beaches and pristine vegetation, that because it is part of the environmental preservation area of Santo António, which has 23 mil hectares and covers the counties of Santa Cruz de Cabrália and Belmonte.

Only an hour separates the international airport of Porto Seguro from the Ecovila Da Mata. Going up the margins of the Atlantic Ocean, we follow to Santa cruz de cabrália, where a balsa takes us through a glamorous river ecosystem. To reach the Ecovila da Mata, we proceed by the BR 67 road until the Guaiu Village.
